Study Barcelona

Study Barcelona is a project born in 2014 with the purpose of sharing the architectural and urban practices that have established the city of Barcelona as a global reference point. Conceived as an on-site laboratory, this program allows participants to explore and critically analyze the architecture and urbanism of the city, addressing them from multiple perspectives and approaches.

The heart of Study Barcelona lies in its immersive methodology, which involves visits to renowned architecture studios and urban tours that explore the city through various lenses.

The sessions in architecture studios offer the opportunity to engage in dialogue with prominent professionals and gain firsthand insight into their experiences, works, and creative processes. They also allow participants to learn about projects that, across different scales and typologies, are making a positive and significant impact on Barcelona.

The urban tours, or routes, are carefully designed walks featuring critical analysis of various urban interventions and transformations. These tours enable direct observation of the interaction between people, the city, and its built environment, fostering a deep understanding of the urban and architectural dynamics that shape Barcelona.

Study Barcelona is an academic, professional, and cultural experience that promotes a comprehensive understanding of an iconic city and its contributions to global urban design and planning.
